Melanie reitet schon seit 2006 bei Patricia. "Durch Patricia bin ich so weit gekommen, wie ich heute bin", sagt Melanie und, auch in ihrem Fall, können sich die Erfolge durchaus sehen lassen: Meisterschaftstitel, Dressurpokalsiege und etliche hohe Platzierungen! "Ich kann nicht verleugnen, dass sie einen nicht immer mit Samthandschuhen anfasst", sagt Melanie, "aber ich brauche auch keinen Trainer, der immer nur "gut, gut" sagt, wenn meine Leistung nicht stimmt, sondern einen Trainer, der ehrlich mit mir ist, und mich vorwärtsbringt. Patricia ist streng, aber sie ist sehr fair. Und was meinen Sie, wie sehr man sich dann über ein Lob - mit welchem Patricia nicht spart, wenn man seine Sache gut gemacht hat - freut, wenn man weiß: hier lobt dich jemand nicht um des Lobens willen, sondern weil du etwas erreicht hast, weil du einen großen Schritt vorangekommen bist."
